I'm available most days and my phone is on from around 9.30 am - 9.30 pm. If you call after 9.30 pm you'll be diverted to my voicemail. Please leave a message and I'll call you back within 10 minutes if I'm available. Please note I rarely return calls received after 10.30 pm.
On the other occasions (ie between 9.30 am and 9.30 pm) when I'm not able to take your call you'll be diverted to my voicemail after a couple of rings where my message will give an indication of the time my phone will be back on. Please leave a message and I'll call you back as soon as I can (or at a time that's convenient to you). If you would prefer not to leave a message then please feel free to call back later.
If by any chance my phone rings continuously before eventually diverting to my voicemail when you call, it's more than likely that I've left my phone somewhere out of earshot (or left it on silent by mistake!). In this case do please try calling back in a few minutes when I will have retrieved my phone (or remembered to turn on the ringer!). Alternatively, please leave a message and I'll call you straight back.
Please note that I do not arrange meetings with anyone calling me from a withheld number or from a call box. I will politely ask you to call me back if you do. Also, I do not arrange first meetings via text message. I appreciate that it's sometimes more convenient to text rather than call but I will always ask you to call to arrange our first meeting. Once we've met then I'm happy to arrange future meetings by text, providing you're happy for me to keep your number in my phone with "ok to text" as your name. I'm sure you'll appreciate that I would have to do this for me to be sure that we really had already met. Of course if you're not happy for me to do this I fully understand and would ask that you call to arrange our date. It goes without saying that I would be extremely discreet and would only text in reply to your text.
If you would rather make your first contact with me by email that's fine, but please note that I always ask for a follow-up phone call. Please call rather than email if you would like to arrange a meeting on the same day (or the following morning) as I may not read your email in time to arrange a meeting at short notice.
